We are automating this whole process so you won’t have to bother about it in the future, cheers 🙂
Head over to over “Cookies” tab
Now there can be two cases possible:
- You are adding all your analytics scripts, and marketing pixels via Google Tag Manager
- You are adding all your analytics scripts, and marketing pixels directly without using Google Tag Manager
Case 1: Adding scripts and pixels via Google Tag Manager
In this case, go to the first cookie you see in the five cookie tabs.
Now click on the “Pencil” icon
Next, in the Script URL pattern add – “googletagmanager.com/gtm.js” as shown below and click submit
Note: Now repeat the above process for all cookies you see, edit cookie > add the script URL pattern (“googletagmanager.com/gtm.js”) and lastly submit.

Case 2: Adding analytics scripts, and marketing pixels directly without using Google Tag Manager
In this case, you need to check what cookies are getting generated by which scripts
So for example you have embedded a Microsoft clarity script code directly into your website now find the URL from that script. URL found: “https://www.clarity.ms/tag/”
This way you would need to find all URLs and then after finding add them to the Script URL pattern in the particular cookie.
Note: Now repeat the above process for all cookies you see, edit cookie > add the script URL pattern and lastly submit.
