How to add CNAME in Cookiezen
CNAME in Cookiezen is used to whitelabel the cookie banner embed code and cookie policy URLs with your domain

1. Domain DNS settings #
Now go to your domain DNS settings > Add a new record
Next, fill these
Type -> CNAME
Name -> Any subdomain name of your choice ( we used “cb”, short form of cookie banner)
Value ( don’t change this) -> embed.cookiezen.io
TTL -> Lowest available time option
After this click on “Save”
2. Cookiezen dashboard #
Go to your Cookiezen dashboard > Click on your Profile icon > Select CNAME ( Premium )
Now here in the textbox enter your link that you want to replace embed code URL with.
So for example your domain is : example.com and subdomain is subdomain
So you enter -> subdomain.example.com ( like in our case cb + cookiezen.io = cb.cookiezen.io )
After these two steps are done by you, your subdomain will be activated in next 12-24 hrs
After 12-24hrs i.e. CNAME activation #
After your CNAME is activated ->
Get installation code from your dashboard
Now replace the previous old embed code with the new CNAME one or if haven’t configured before refer this
Result
In your website you will see now only your domain and no Cookiezen domain, so you can sell the service as whitelabel to your client like its your own
